Hi! My name is Hannes and I am a photographer

Couples pay me to get the "moment" that others fail to see. Companies fly me to other countries to capture images that sell their multi-million rand projects. Individuals buy prints from me because they say its art. Personally I have a passion for creating pictures. Impressions. That might sound like a cliché, but in my case it is true. To have passion is to have a powerful feeling about something, whether it is love, anger or joy. It is to show boundless enthusiasm - exactly what I have when it comes to photography. I just express myself better that way.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer then I have found that couples that book me tend to posses the following characteristics (in no specific order):

* They have an art that they love
* They trust my aesthetic sense
* They don't like to be labelled as "average"
* They have big goals in life

I am based in Gauteng, South Africa but do travel for assignments or weddings.

River Place Wedding – Greg and Tamsin

After being back in the city for almost a month I am already in the process of planning my next escape. As human beings we do need to escape. Love where you live and love what you do, but you need to stretch your mind. Twist it and then bend it. Either far or very far. Have passport, will travel. Failing to do so will drive us mad or expose us to becoming blind – mentally. Avoid it at all cost. But do escape. For Greg and Tamsin’s wedding I did a mini escape to the warm destination of River Place near Hartbeespoort. Typically Hartbeespoort it was hot all day and quite chilly at night, but luckily Greg and Tamsin made sure cozy blankets were available for everyone until the late afternoon celebration partied up the temperature on the banks of the the Hennops. As for Greg and Tamsin, well what an amazing couple. Greg is probably one of the funniest people I have met in a long long time and Tamsin was just uber classic in front of the lens from the word go. Magic I say.

Time for some Buena Vista Social Club.
